Monte Carvoeiro has established itself as one of the best resorts along the entire Algarve coastline and offers superb, family friendly accommodation with lots of on-site facilities for guests to enjoy.
The resort is conveniently located on the cliff tops above the former fishing village of Carvoeiro which boasts an attractive beach and an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops. There are many other wonderful beaches all within a few minutes drive.
It is also within easy reach of many excellent golf courses including the Carvoeiro Golf Resort with its two full 18-hole courses and a purpose built David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
The immediate coastline consists of spectacular cliffs, caves and many beautiful beaches, all washed by the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The Algarve lays claim to more hours of sunshine than any other place in Europe and also the most unpolluted climate.
The apartments at Monte Carvoeiro are built in traditional Portuguese style with contemporary interiors and all have balconies.
The centrepiece of the resort is an attractive square with fountain and pool, together with a choice of several restaurants and bars. There is ample car parking provided for all guests on the resort and also well maintained gardens.
The resort offers a swimming pool and a children’s pool. There are twelve tennis courts located nearby. The pool bar serves the main pool area with drinks and snacks.
By the reception are a supermarket, pizza restaurant/snack bar and a doctor’s surgery.

There are now toll roads as outlined in the directions below and they work by number plate recognition. The arrangements for payment vary by car hire company. As such, the best advice we can give to owners/guests is to check with their individual car hire company for instructions.
BY ROAD: From the airport Faro you drive on a dual lane freeway approx. 4 km direction to Faro. Take the second exit on the right, direction to Lisbon, Portimão and Albufeira.
Follow on another dual lane freeway, approx. 8 km direction north of which the left lane takes you to the A22 (the A22 is the highway from East (Spanish border) to West (Lagos). After approx. 3 kms you take the right highway entry (take the second entry direction Lisboa, Portimão, Lagos).
This highway goes in the West direction for approx. 50 kms through villages named: Loulé, Boliqueme, Vilamoura, Albufeira. Take the exit: Lagoa/Silves and follow the signs: „Carvoeiro“.
The connecting road takes you to Lagoa. Turn right on the second roundabout (1st traffic lights), direction Carvoeiro.
NEW Traffic Directions to Monte Carvoeiro
Follow the entrance road into Carvoeiro “Rua dos Pescadores”, when you reach the beach area, you will see the steep hill on the right hand side, follow this road all the way to the top which will bring you out to Monte Carvoeiro. .
While you are in the reception, please do not leave any valuables in the car and lock the car.
