HELP FOR HEROS in LANZAROTE

The Island of Lanzarote was the host for a recent concert being held in aid of the "Help for Heroes" charity. The event took place on the 7th August 2010.

Resort Solutions and the Committees of Diamond Club Calypso and Las Calas kindly donated one Week of Accommodation at each resort to include flights for 2 people.

The Auction saw the highest bidder for one of the weeks donating €500 and upon the payment went on to say that they wished for the prize to be re – auctioned. A further €500 was bid which was absolutely fantastic.

The second winner then generously donated the prize to an injured serviceman so they can have a holiday through an organisation in the UK.

The concert raised €13,000 and the lorry displaying the logos of the sponsors will now travel the length and breadth of Europe raising more funds for this poignant charity.

Charity Golf Tournament

RCI Christel House Open Golf Tournament was held at The Ealing Golf Club on 7th June 2010.

Resort Solutions’ were delighted to sponsor the event which raised almost £17,000. The Christel House Charity helps fund schools in South Africa, India and Mexico. The fantastic work which is done is only possible through fundraising events such as this which in turn changes the lives of the children in their care, bringing them hope and opportunity.

Despite contrary forecasts, the weather was kind and an enjoyable day was enjoyed by all, with lots of fun out on the course and plenty of enjoyable conversations with fellow golfers in the Clubhouse during the day and at dinner.

NVQ Success

Resort Solutions has seen its investment in two school-leavers pay off after they passed NVQ certificates in Business and Administration.

Luke Hosea, who was initially employed as sales administrator trainee and is now the sales administrator within the sales team, and Rosy Robinson, initially employed as customer services trainee but who moved to Resort Solutions accounts team undertaking the role of accounts assistant after displaying a flair for numbers, both received the certificates.

Resort Solutions also invests in offering training opportunities to staff with a length of service.

Two members of staff recently achieved NVQ Certification. Mercedes Finning, who has worked for the firm for 12 years, achieved a NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and Claire Moore, who has worked there for nine years, passed the NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services.

In light of the success of the apprenticeship scheme, Resort Solutions have recently employed a third apprentice, Emily Cunningham, who is studying her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration over the next 12 months.

In addition to the NVQ qualifications Resort Solutions are sponsoring both Luke and Rosy (pictured) to undertake their AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) Certification.

New Member of the Team at Resort Solutions

Resort Solutions are delighted to announce that Vicky Du Bois Sandy, formally of RCI where she was Affiliate Manager, joins Resort Solutions as Account Manager. Vicky has worked within the timeshare industry for over 17 years and brings with her a wealth of experience which we are confident will benefit our clubs going forward. We are very lucky as she has worked with many of Resort Solutions’ Clubs over the years, so many of you will already have met her through her previous roles.

New online service for members

Resort Solutions is delighted to announce that members are now able to pay their management fees by credit or debit card on line.

This secure service is being launched this November and can be accessed from the MEMBERS section of the website. Just complete the form and press the MAKE PAYMENT button.

There is a 2% processing charge for credit card payments.

Resort Solutions Launches New Website

Resort Solutions is delighted to announce the launch of their revamped web site.

The all-new-look website contains a wealth of information and is an important resource for Owners, members of the public, and Resort Solutions’ other stakeholders.

It has been designed so that visitors to the site to be able to find quickly and easily the information they require, particularly when checking information on the various resorts that Resort Solutions manage.

We hope that users of the new site will provide feedback, as we are always looking for ways to streamline it further.

The most obvious change is the way the site is navigated, making it more user-friendly and easier for visitors to find what they want.

New features have also been added, including:

  • One-click links to dedicated information pages for Owners;
  • Instant access to resort information;

  • News on all of their managed resorts;

Features from the previous website can still be accessed but we have made them easier to find thanks to a new, more logical layout.
