If you are looking for a golfing holiday, then the Alto Country Club in Portugal must be on your list of places to visit. There is, of course, golf on site at the Alto and guests can arrange golf club and trolley hire prior to their arrival through algarvegolfrental@sapo.pt. The equipment is delivered and collected from the apartments free of charge. 

Once you are played the Alto course, there is so much more to enjoy. The nearest course to Alto is the championship course of Penina, where the PGA tour has played the Portuguese Open on many occasions.

The family resort of Monte Carvoeiro is another golfer’s delight. Conveniently located on the cliff tops above the fishing village of Carvoeiro, the resort is also within easy reach of many excellent golf courses including the Carvoeiro Golf Resort with its two full 18 hole courses and a purpose-built David Leadbetter Golf Academy. 

The resort is becoming established as among the best along the entire coastline of the Algarve, evidenced by the Gold Crown awarded by Resorts Condominium International from 1998 to 2007. 

There are 34 golf courses on the Algarve, with 8 courses within 15 minutes’ drive of the resorts. During the summer months (June to September) there are a number of special deals on golf at courses all along the Algarve so it is a great time to play some superb courses and really competitive rates.
